Several different installation options

The Advansafix IV R which grows with your child, features an ISOFIX system. Installing it as a group 1 child safety seat, the Advansafix IV R is to be attached to your vehicle by using the Isofix anchor points as well as the Top Tether. When it is used as a group 2/ 3 child car seat, you have two different installation options: either by using your car’s own three-point belt in combination with ISOFIX or else by solely using your car’s own three-point belt. This option turns out to be particularly convenient when using the Advansafix IV R in different cars which might not all come with ISOFIX anchor points. Appropriate belt positioners help you installing the car seat and also prevent misuse or mistake when attaching the Advansafix IV R to your vehicle.

FLIP & GROW feature for safety that grows with your child

This child safety seat which has been developed, designed and produced in Germany features the FLIP & GROW Function which makes the car seat adapt to your little passenger’s size at all times. Your child is to be fastened by using the built-in five-point harness. Converting the Advansafix IV R into a group 2/3 safety seat that can be used from a bodyweight of 15 kg and up is very simple. The built-in belt is then to be stored beneath the cover of the backrest and the shoulder pads are to be folded out and thus provide additional padding. FLIP&GROW means that you can switch easily from belt buckle to SecureGuard and back. When doing so the belt buckle disappears into the seat surface and the additional belt positioner – the SecureGuard – can be taken out and is ready for use.

Nothing has to be removed from the car seat and the Advansafix IV R is ready for being switched so that you can use it in every age group – a highlight that will satisfy all parents immediately.

Secure Guard and Side Impact Protection – SICT

The SecureGuard provides the Advansafix IV R with extra safety. The additional belt positioner keeps the pelvic belt in an optimal position right above the pelvic bone – that way, the risk of stomach injuries is reduced significantly. Other advanced safety functions are the individually adjustable SICT as well as the V-shaped headrest which both prevent injuries that can occur in the event of a side impact. Naturally, the headrest and the harness can be adjusted right on the front side of the safety seat.

Soft, special neoprene shoulder pads for more safety and comfort

The soft, special neoprene shoulder pads of the Advansafix IV R feel super comfy on the body of your little passenger. In the event of a collision, they not only reduce the forward movement of your child - they also make the 5-point harness even more comfortable. In addition to this, they can be easily removed for washing without intervening in the belt system.

EasyRecline for maximum seating comfort

The new comfort feature called “EasyRecline” which enables your little one to lean back and relax. There are three different sitting positions in each age group which can be adjusted easily when you child is sitting in the seat and without re-adjusting the Top Tether.

Crash test – ADAC and Stiftung Warentest

Good to know that the Advansafix IV R was awarded a “GOOD” and a grade of 2.3 by Stiftung Warentest (06/2019) and ADAC (06/2019). In the 9-36 kg category, the car seat was able to prevail against other car seats and made it to the test winner.

Tip: The latest Air-Designs feature a breathable mesh material on the seat surface and in the back and head section of the Advansafix IV R. That way, your little passenger will feel comfortable even on hot days.
