Lene and her husband Matthias are taking advantage of the extended daylight hours for long walks with their little son Julian. Once in the fresh air, their little treasure instantly falls asleep. Seeing her little fellow tucked up under the cozy baby bedding, Lene recalls how she came to choose the right duvet a few months earlier despite her initial uncertainty.
Little Julian came into the world in winter. Instinctively, Lene prepared a cozy “nest” for her newborn baby while still pregnant. She soon found a comfort blanket for snuggling up together in the rocking chair. For trips out in the stroller, the young family needed a baby duvet which would protect their little one from the cold winter temperatures. Faced with a vast array of different models, Lene was unsure which duvet best suited her requirements. Neither she nor her husband wanted real down, as they were both allergy sufferers.
Feathers and down are natural filling materials for pillows and duvets, which store body heat at the cooler time of the year and keep out the cold. Lene and Matthias are not yet sure whether their little treasure is also going to develop an allergy and whether this type of filling will have a negative effect on his health. Zöllner and other manufacturers offer young parents alternatives filled with high-tech fibers or little fiber balls that are suitable for allergy sufferers. In terms of bulk and warmth, these high-quality duvet sets with synthetic filling materials are by no means inferior to their down-filled counterparts. Irrespective of the filling material, all pillows and duvets from our assortment can be washed at temperatures of at least 60°C, which means they are hygienic and hypoallergenic.
Lene and Matthias took some expert advice on what to look out for when purchasing bedding. They learned that the stitching played an important role. Correct stitching prevents the filling from slipping about inside as well as protecting against the formation of cold barriers. In order to ensure a pleasant sleep climate, parents should use a baby duvet that provides the right amount of warmth based on the surrounding temperature.
For each season, manufacturers such as Zöllner and Alvi offer suitable, breathable duvet sets which help to maintain a temperature balance and prevent the baby from perspiring. Our young family has opted for a fluffy baby duvet for the stroller which is guaranteed to provide the necessary warmth. Their customer adviser draw their attention to an all-seasons duvet from Zöllner. This model can be used as soon as their little son starts sleeping in his cot without a sleeping bag.
In addition to baby duvet sets, our online shop includes pillows providing ergonomic support for he baby’s head.We will be glad to answer any questions you may have concerning baby duvets and pillows over the phone.
